"When I sit down somewhere on a walk in nature, I like to look intensely at the patch of ground in front of my feet. The details, everything that is going on, fascinate me. It's a world unto itself. I also pursue that richness in a work like this. A small world, dreamed of by the baby sleeping above it in its cocoon. In this work I used wood, cactus, shells, seeds and other found objects."
